I'm not particularly sure if this is a widespread fact or something that has been already 'proven' but this indeed involves the 'evolution' factor of the Rito from the Zora. Now, for most fans the fact that the Koroks are the Kokiri is pretty solid, and that Rito are the Zora evolved due to Medli and her awakening from the old Zora sage. But there is proof in the game that they obviously must be related or for the sake of all Zelda-dom, descendants of an old species that no longer exists.

This revolves around Prince Komali's necklace that he is seen wearing later on in the game. How did I find this little tid-bit out? Well on the symbol search for Hyrule Trivia, I checked virtually everything and I found this out.

Prince Komali: Sorry for the image, but it was the only one I could find, however, it shows enough of the symbol for everyone's liking.

That symbol is, I haven't found a picture, but those of you who care, can go check it out in Wind Waker, but in the Master Sword chamber with all the sages, the Water Sage Ruto has that exact symbol embossed in the window in front of her. Now as far as I'm concerned, that isn't some piddly little necklace Komali has, it's gold, and it's important, and he's the prince of the Rito tribe, notice the simliarities between Ruto and Rito as well Rolling Eyes.

The Zora Sapphire symbol that Ruto has in her dedication window in the sword chamber in Hyrule Castle is found across the neck of the prince of the tribe which already holds evidence of coming from the Zora people. Discuss. And yeah, I claimed this a long time ago but I don't think any noticed xD
